Date of lesson: December 21, 2008
This lesson four in the study of the book of Revelation with Dr. James M. Phillips. Dr. Phillips discusses church history and the evolution of religion and the catholic church during this period of time.

Week 2 Dr James M Phillips Revelation Lesson 5
Dr. Phillips continues with church history during his classes on the study of the book of Revelation. He comments during this class a very interesting part of history in early American Baptist. The outlaw Jesse James was actually a deacon in Baptist churches and his father Robert James was a very educated man holding a masters degree and a missionary Baptist preacher. Robert James helped found 3 different churches in the state of Missouri which exist to this very day. Many of these people in these churches that knew the James family helped protect Jesse and his gang from church to church. What an interesting and little known story of early church history in America.

Week 3

Week 4 Dr James M Phillips Revelation Lesson 6
In this lesson, Dr. Jim does a study of the letter to the Laodiceans. This is the letter to the church age that we now live in today. What an interesting prophetic study of what God's churches would be doing during this perod of time that we presently live. We need to beware of some pitfalls that are set before us today.
